Loved, loved, loved your books;
both of which I read in two days. I particularly liked the fact that
when mentioned, Glace Bay, was not portrayed in a negative light - which
so often happens whenever you hear comments about the "island". I am so
looking forward to your next publication and that "feel good" sense that
comes from your novels.

I never was much of a reader, and
when I did read a book it was always a 'true story'. But Leslie, I have
to tell you, I've never enjoyed reading a book so much, in my entire
life, as I did your two. Relative Happiness, and Just Shoot Me were the
two best books I've ever read! I couldn't put them down until I was
finished! Usually I have a hard time with a book 'grabbing' my
attention, but both your books did, right from the beginning! They're
fabulous! Please! Please! Hurry up and write another one! I can't wait
to read it! If I had to pick a favourite, between the two you wrote, I
would have to choose Just Shoot Me! It was hillarious! You have a real
talent there, lady!

Hi Lesley, Just wanted to say how
much I've enjoyed your two novels, Shoot Me and Relative Happiness. What
I loved about them was how you protrayed families, nothing is glossed
over. Family can drive us nuts, but can save us, too. I'm looking
forward to your next novel! Happy writing.

hey, Lesley; As I sit here in my
sunny, warm Florida lanai, I need another good read! I just called the
Book Mark on Spring Garden Rd and Mike is sending me your first book
"Relative Happiness". I just finished reading "Shoot Me", which I bought
before I left Halifax, and loved it soooooo much! The ship has come in,
the eagle has landed and the saints are marching, Baby!!!! .... how good
is that!!!!

Relative Happiness was such a good
book I went srtaight to the Library to see if there was any other books
for me to read by Lesley Crewe. I placed a hold on Shoot Me, but I
didn't have to wait because my daughter (god love her) gave it to me for
my birthday. Shoot me is just as enjoyable as Relative Happiness. But
you must hurry and write your next book Lesley because I fear what will
happen to me when I have finished reading Shoot Me and there are no more
Lesley Crew bookes to read. You are a wonderful writer perfect for
anyone to enjoy so get back in your study and start writing, let Paris
Hilton do the permotions (nobody will know the difference).

Two of the most entertaining
stories I have every read. I say to all: get the book(s) and then plan
to ignore your life until you finish reading. To Lesley Crewe - thank
you.

You did it again, Lesley -
congratulations! I just finished reading "Shoot Me" (obviously I didn't
budge from my comfortable chair all day) and I eagerly read each
chapter. Just as in "Relative Happiness," your dialogue and character
development are amazing and I predict that "Shoot Me" will be a
resounding best-seller. Three cheers for our very own Homeville author.

Just finished reading "Relative
Happiness" and LOVED it - I laughed, I cried - I wanted to come to Cape
Breton to meet all your wonderful characters. You say that you're on
your 5th novel now - where can I find the others? I will look forward
with great anticipation to your next book. I've now bookmarked your
website, too - so will check in from time to time in the hopes of a new
title to hunt down.

I am not happy. I didn't mean to
read it so fast but I couldn't help myself. Now I want more (please).
Although Relative Happiness left me emotionally exhausted, I did have
enough strength left to promote your book to family & friends. Looking
forward to your next novel. Thank you for sharing Lexie with us.

Relative Happiness was a fast
journey for me. I neglected all around me just to see what was happing
in Lexie's life. I never thought I was a nosey person, your writing
filled me with emotion. I felt happiness, sadness, despair, betrayal,
and anger all in one chapter. I think many many people can relate to
your book. I look forward to seeing more of your work. You have a gift
from God that I am happy you shared with me as a reader. PS: Thank you
for that ending!

I loved your book!!!! (Relative
Happiness) I started reading it as soon as I got home with it and had a
very hard time putting it down. Every time I did put it down to do my
school work I would be thinking about the book, wondering what would
happen next. I finally gave up on my English paper, and took an extra
long bubble bath so I could finish the book instead. This book made me
cry and laugh and I loved it. I am going to tell everyone I know to buy
it!
Date:
Wednesday November 02, 2005 NameLeanne LocationFredericton, NB CommentsI read Relative Happiness in one sitting (boy was my bum numb after that!) and went through at least half a box of Kleenex between the laughing and the crying. I haven't had a literary catharsis like that in ages! Best wishes, many thanks, and I can't believe we have to wait until next September to read the next book!
