I look very 'author-y' in this
picture. It's the first formal portrait I've had taken of me since high
school. I refused to have one done for university graduation. (My mother
was annoyed!). I wanted Nimbus to put in Paris Hilton's picture on the
back cover of my book, but they wouldn't do it. I don't know why....we're
dead ringers.

I just got back from the Book Expo held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, June 13-16, 2008. I signed advance copies of my new novel, Ava Comes Home for industry insiders and sales reps, not to mention teachers and librarians. It was a lot of fun to meet everyone. Quite a few people came over to tell me they loved my first two books and can't wait to read this one. It did my heart good!
Ava Comes Home will be available in September 2008.
I will annouce the time and date of the launch when the final
details are worked out and will list the venues where I'll be
signing my new book, so keep watching this space!
